  • Yeah, Steroids are the new witch hunt. No other countries consider them a problem, and the US is the only country that makes steroids a class 3 narcotic. Its all politics, and as far as football, baseball or whatever else is concerned, they should be left alone! Its just another "subject" for the politicians to act "concerned" about. Heck, if I was in line for a 200 + million contract, I'd sure consider it. And look at the statistics...the fans really don't care! If there was a concern, the ticket sales and prices would go way down, and they have done nothing but go up!!! I say leave it up to the fans, if they don't like it, they'll stop buying tickets, and the government should stop wasting money bothering pro athletes! I say home runs not base hits! Touchdowns, not fieldgoals! Taken under a doctors care, steroids can be a benefit, not a hazard, and if it were not for the ridiculous laws involved many sports doctors would use steroids more with their patients. Even cops, DEA and FBI agents I have talked to (and work out with) think its stupid to concentrate money on the "steroid problem" when the real problem is the semi truckloads of meth coming in from Mexico right across our borders, right under the noses of understaffed customs concentrating on steroids. BUT STEROIDS MAKE NEWS so that is where the money goes. Its a damn, stupid shame.
