  • The only real problem with 'performance enhancers' is that we don't know the long-term consequences. As an example, will inhibiting myostatin in a person's teens and twenties result in muscular dystrophy in their forties and fifties, because of the Hayflick limit? Is it worth an Olympic gold medal at 24 to wind up in a wheelchair at 42?
